Near-north Ontario, French River | I was simply asking a question I wasn't advocating one way or the other. I agree the true nuts aren't going to care about the laws, nor will the criminals . Having said that maybe regular periodic testing( or a need to re qualify, you pick what you want to call it) may help authorities weed out some of those that are a little iffy when it comes to mental stability. I'm all for the rights of a citizen to own firearms , I own 6 myself, but I'd like to think someone would step forward if they noticed me exhibiting irrational behavior. What seems to be a common theme among these guys that snap is that there is a disconnect with reality. They have lost their grip on reality to the point that they probably don't even understand that what they are doing is wrong, so how does society as a whole defend against those that can't even fathom that their actions may cause others to die whether that be by gun or knife or car or whatever. |
