New Mexico | everyone is supposedly losing dough, BUT continuous major big dairy expansion ongoing ( been that way for some years now and folks are still adding cows now ).
The hog industry went thru a similiar deal in the 90's and eventually hogs did get pretty cheap for a year or so ( darn near free, btw ).
I'll never forget the hog deal.
Outfits going broke or in bk on one mile, and the next mile brand new facilities going in ( all over large midwest areas too ).
Just don't understand the afore here.
Do know dairy folks talk how tough things are and talk govt programs ( several programs too ) at the same time.
Maybe the govt is their bail, that's happened a few times in the past to bail em.
Maybe things are not as tough as they say too.
Perhaps it's the new age "infinite economic" dairy quandry.
Dairy can talk all they want, but no one else listens because it appears to be a continuous "cry wolf" deal to everyone else.
