western iowa,by Denison | wow-as easy as it is to hang guard rail-solid fence and not that costly-we installed some the other day-filled my small loader bucket with dirt, dug a hole about 12inchs deep and shoved a old plow beam in for a post every 12 ft-torched 3 holes in the tube-stuck my galvanizied 10 inchx 5/8 bolts thru the beam and walked along and hang guard rail-did 100 ft in less then 1 hour(2 guys)no welding-no lags,no railroad ties,I guess $9.60 a foot for three high panels is to high of price?when your done you can unbolt it and sell it for 2/3rds of what you paid-last year I sold some old guard rail for $2 a foot and was quickly sold out-was oversupplyed with new rail, and like working with 26ft pieces so I sold some of my old 12ft pieces-the lot it came out of was 22 years old and the guard rail look just like the day I had put it up-just unbolted my galvanizied bolts and used the skid loader to stack the pieces! | |
