Garvo, if to big of a gap you can get a leg in them. It does terrible damage to an animal, harder they pull the deeper they cut themselves. I see from your later post you space them at 6", that would be good. The only other bad spot I see is the ends of guard rail, if not covered it can cut up saddle horses and cattle.
