2nd vote for clover and frost seed in the end of February. 3-4lbs to the acre with a broadcast seeder. The only way to keep the clover is to rotational graze. The cattle will eat the clover until it is gone if you don't rotate and rest. Can achieve 90# of n per year from clover. tried some alice white, but couldn't get a stand.
