I find that a very common attitude with "save the world - all should be fair" types. Everything should apply to everyone except them and their buddies. Like the wealthy actress who flies multiple jets with an entourage to an international meeting to protest the burning of fossil fuels and causing global warming. Or the politician that has made millions (or maybe billions) on the global warming theme while living in a mansion and burning enough electricity to light a small town. In both cases they do not live the life they are promoting others to live. Hypocrites writ large.

That is the thing about socialism and capitalism. In both systems you end up with people in positions of money and power. With socialism the politically astute are the winners. With capitalism the business astute end up there. In both cases being a crook seems to be an asset also.
