E.Central MN | I think you've got two choices. One, you build the fence to protect your property and forget about asking him to pay for any of it because he probably won't anyway. Or two, call the sheriff and make a call to the county prosecuter, too. If the guy likes training viscious dogs that endanger others then the dogs should be taken away and he needs a little quiet time(behind bars). I'm betting the sheriff gives you the shoot, shovel, and shutup advice so he doesn't have to deal with it. Around here if a guy's dogs roam around on everyone else's property we tell him about it a couple times and then the dogs disappear. If the dog/dogs attack someone or chase cattle on somebody else's property then we might/might not make a call telling the owner why we shot their dog. If the guy comes looking for his dog we'll tell him that the last time we saw the dog was when it was chasing cattle, "don't know where it went after that and don't really care, somebody probably shot it." | |
