NE Indiana
I was 16, we stored beans in wooden bins in the barn at that time. Only sold a pickup load for the high price. The fall after that dad decided to store his half of the beans. Grandpa said sell his half that fall for 8.55 out of the field. The next summer dad and i were loading beans one day ( 4 inch auger and 2 scoop shovels) Grandpa came out to the barn and said it was hot out there, said he was going back to the porch to have another glass of ice tea. Beans were somewhere around 6.00 or less.
