Iowa | Agree on everything but the math doesn't support your point on your land example. $2000/a financed for 20 yrs at 4% would be a payment of around $140/A. I don't see how that would wipe someone out. Actually, I think that is a perfect example of why land can bring as much as it does. Personally, in the example given, I'd have sat on my hands when the farm in question brought $12K, stay debt-free, and wait it out..... | |
