| I remember the annual conferences of the Foundation well. I miss attending them. IMHO, Martin is the best economic historian I have ever heard speak (or I have ever read), and it was a pleasure to be able to visit with him after the meetings. As far as whether he is worth listening to - there were a lot of pretty high profile people there at those presentations (I remember Steve Forbes being called Stevie by people attending), and when Martin gave the closing talk, everyone was there, and everyone was listening intently.
