What a wonderful diverse group this is .
Thanks fellows for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit and tour me around your farms . So much different than the arid open plains of Montana .

I got to see helicopter loading Christmas trees , a steam run lumber mill , it looked like a scene from the movie "Man from Snowy River "
Seen some very clever built sprayers made for "soggy country"
And a visit in a real old time farm store with area farmers
Thank you all .
Missed Ole Pokey but perhaps next time ..........

On to Grants Pass today . Old Teaching friend from California there.

I've got an older neighbor that has (or had) a sister in Grants Pass. It seems that he told me that they hardly ever get any wind there - and when they do get a little wind a lot of leaves come off the trees so they're all out raking them up. Is there any truth to that? That's hard to believe considering the wind we can get around here....

My first wife's grandmother lived in Grants Pass for several years before she passed away. I was there a couple times and, aside from the tree-hugger mentality, I really liked that area.

There is bright sun here today. In fact I have been moving hay all day long. Could have put you to work! Funny you should arrive during a deluge.

Well I can't prove it, no photos but...
Sold three semi-loads of hay plus two pickup loads in between.
SO, Merry Christmas to me!

Glad you had a sunny day. You all don't get enough this time of year, least for me anyway. I'm surprised I didn't get a run of hay trucks myself, usually on a nice day in the valley, everyone wants to be a hay hauler since they might be able to get up there without tarping. ;)

Hopefully you weren't too bored! Fairly slow around here the morning you were here. Thanks for entertaining the FIL and I with the cannon pics and bowling ball stories! Sure hope I can make it to MT to visit again sometime...I love the looks of that wide-open country.

I hope your wife is feeling better and best wishes for safe travels during the rest of the trip. So glad you had time to vist, we really enjoyed it.

Good planing on my part . ;-)

While in Portland I helped a fellow clean out a rental property , we loaded a large roll on container with barrels and barrels of junk . He has a hoarding or rather a collecting habit .
