Well, my understanding is you only need a small fraction of one % to make back your investment on spams.

It is the modern version of a pyramid letter.

It is so increadibly cheap to send out spams. Compared to calling someone on the phone, or sending a postcard in the mail.

And, look at the silly phone calls & junk mail we all get. Does anyone really respond to them????

You can 'buy' 50,000 emails for a few bucks. You need an ISP that doesn't mind the volume of emails, that's only some bucks per month. Get 10 people to reply with money, & you paid for your advertising.

So it's annoying 99.8% of the people, to make a few bucks.

One of the bigger spamers is from Minnesota, he is a very in-your-face kid, doesn't give a flip about anyone else. Made millions at it. He's been shut down 2 times, now he is off-shore at one of the islands, at it again. No big deal to him. Saw him on the news a time or 2.

I'm generally a pretty calm & low key person, but seeing him & his 'tude for 2 minutes on TV, and I wanted to rip something out of his throat with my bare hands..........
