I had one landlady that requested that no ground be worked between Dec 1 & April 1, said it needed to "rest". It really didn't affect us that much as there is very little field work if any going on in this area during those months. Unfortunately if there was any land that would have been dry enough to work during that time period it would have been that farm as it was a sand farm.

Also had a landlord that told me that I had raised the best & cleanest crops on his land than anybody else ever had then turned right around & told me he was renting it to someone else. Found out later from the other guy that he rented it for a cheaper cash rent than what I had offered.
