didnt Dwayne Beck at Dak Research farm in Pierre SD expeirment with this a decade ago, I beleive his summary was that late seeded ww could just swell it would be enough to go thru the vernalization process.......I think he dropped the idea based on inconsistent spring stands and yeilds......
might still be some summary on his Dak Lakes Farms web site research pages.
