I'm not sure what advice you're asking for. We used crown in our tray ceilings but used a different crown throughout the remainder of the downstairs. Our crown was from one to three member crown depending on the ceiling height.
Our family room has an 18' ceiling on one side and the other side follows the roof slope which is a 12/12 pitch.
