Thanks for the replies. I plan to find that 4th stake, which appears to be marked with a fence post. The others have short steel fence posts next to them. I am going to install 6' steel posts with PVC piping as a cover at each survey rod and keep my tax map in my file. If any neighbors have a problem, they can line the surveyor's pockets.
