Audubon Iowa
Could any one help me out? Had the card out to check some pictures. Put it back in camera and took 5 or 6 pictures. In checking them later the screen says coruppt data. Dont think the card is filled. Also bought a new card a Lexar brand 4gb, and the screen shows Memory card error. Had the same thing happen with a card from WalMart previously untill we tried 3 differnt cards. Model # PC1184
Thanks. Gene

I can't help specifically with your problem, but my wife has had excellent customer service from Canon in the past with different cameras. They really stand behind their products in our case. You can contact them directly and see if they can help.

There are different classes and types of memory cards, make sure you have one with the correct speed rating, etc.

Check to see if the little lock card switch is on. you will find it on the side of the chip . Just a small slide thingy .

I had the memory card error message when trying to use a new card. Walmart employee in the camera department told me I bought a card (I think it was a 4GB) that had too much memory for my camera. I bought a 2GB and had no problem.
