Had a major issue with emergence this year with a DeKalb number 52-04. Had DeKalb reps and agronomist out multiple times during the year. They decided to have me harvest it and see what the yield difference was between same variety grown in Chile which had acceptable emergence vs. the poor emerging lot of the same variety grown in Michigan. The difference came to 14 bushels per acre less. Told them that I would settle for bushels less X price X acres planted of that lot. Rep told me that the most he would pay was $7000. I told him that would work if he would let me talk to Ted Crosbie ( Monsanto big honcho) and let me show him what happened this year. So far have not heard back. I also told them there would be no non-disclosure form signed this time. edited to increase print size of ISU germ test: cold germ came back at 72%
