If that was me I wouldn't get two revolutions on the starter before I had a nice inspection hole in the side of the block, proceed carefully!!
Only one I had similar was a BCIV that sounded suddenly like George Jetson was passing me, ended up being a severely scored piston/liner failure/etc. Did manage to save the crank and block.
