| Had 2 Earthstoves for heat in a large house years ago. If I burned elm or ash cleaned out ashes once a week,,,,burning cottonwood I had to clean ashes once a day each. That doesnt work cause you have to let them burn down for most of a day.
I doubt the passing of years made a dif. VERY poor firewood,,,f its been dead for couple years it will burn well if piled and re-piled,,,even if it is grass green it will burn if you pile tight. Light them and go get the weenies and marshmellows(along with chocolate and gram cracks) | |
