NW MN | I played alto sax during my school years. I haven't picked it up in quite some time. When I was about 7th grade and the band director knew what kind of potential I had and that I was going to stick with it, he convinced me (and my parents) into upgrading to a cannon ball. So I got rid of that piece 'o crap I had and spent $2500 on a good sax. I got 7 years of extensive use out of my cannonball. It's a very good saxaphone. (Just an FYI for future reference if you feel the "need" to upgrade in the future. By no means should you be spending that kind of money when she's just starting out ((sorry about side story)).
