Subject: RE: Case 1845c Are they good?

Have had one for 4-5 yrs. Good farm machine. Much easier to work on than previous 843 Bobcat and 793? Mustang. Also hasn't needed as much. Not many hrs per yr, but in/out alot, which most newer models aren't as freindly for. Don't know what tracks are worth, but got ours for ~$9000 with ~3700 hrs. (not through dealer).

As mentioned, chain case can be a problem. Ours froze up pushing snow and did have water in case. If replaced, would be slightly bigger machine, but handy size all around. Look around at constuction sites, many of them still on the job.

Local Bobcat salesman jokingly said if they still made them, he'd probabaly have a different job, so good testimony from competition. Pretty good older machine.
