He will want the air pressure to build or it will fill with snow. Enclosed will allow the snow to only swirl in the front few feet. He will still get a dusting of snow in the back of the shed, but an opening will allow a snow bank to form all the way thru. Have to remember, western Iowa gets breezy and most of our snow comes horizontal, not vertical.
