Break downs are the hidden costs. When something on the rig needs attention, I fix it asap. Especially safety related equipment. Setup to do our own tire repairs. That's a definite must have.
We're saving a ton of money owning a rig and hauling our own grain.
Not only that: it is priceless to have during seeding and harvest time. Got 2 tandems, rarely put 100km on them each year
