Wallis, TX | Here our local red dealer seems to have a better chance of getting the part the next day. Lots of time Dallas doesn't have the green part, then its 2-3 days, sometimes more. Neighbor last month had a computer go out on a 8345R and told them to get it coming next day air, no matter the cost. He got it 6 days later.
I'll have to agree with some of the others that don't like to pay full price plus frt to get a part. Especially if it is a 'common' part for a machine that is common in the area.
FWIW, years ago my uncle told me that when was selling Ferguson tractors (before my time but I assumed it was in the early 50's) that after he sold a certain number of tractors (like 5 or 10) he was expected to basically have an entire tractor in parts. I realize it would not be practical now with the vast variety of machinery out there but it would be nice if the depots would stock more than they do. | |
