Farming in NW Iowa | Is it able to roll at all? Wonder if it's not coming all the way out of park. The shaft going through the range cover has 2 pins on the bottom of the shaft . 1 pushes it into park along with a spring and the other pulls it out of park. Everything will look normal from the top of the cover, the top cover will need to come off if this is your problem.
