My brother's wife had jewlery stolen by one of the painters working in their house. He went around to the local pawn shops and was able to track it down. To the guy's credit, he handed it over without a fuss after my brother offered to call the cops to help sort it out. About on par with scrap yards in my mind now.
Does anyone else like going to pawn shops?
