Is it still going to make more sense to plant corn on marginal ground? If some of the big production areas don't get moisture to grow anything it will take a long time. Markwright is probably accurate on the 2 more years of decline. If those two factors don't change too much could be longer. There are really long lags in beef production so it takes a long time for the system to switch around.

Don't know about your areas but I was talking to an industry rep and he was saying that the average age of a cow calf guy in Ontario was about 65 now. Don't see too many guys that age looking to get more cows and work. That could begin to play a big role in the future too.
