By "stopping suddenly" do you mean that it is like you lock up the brakes of is it more like a rolling stop? And what do you have to do to get it going again? Is it possible that you could have crossed the lines. Sorry about answering your questions with questions but trying to get more information. Try capping off the inching pedal, I have heard of them malfunctioning.
