Orange County NY | Has anyone had trouble with regular cast iron pumps when using Roundup? I see Hypro offers a Silver Series pump that is resistant to glyphosate. Is it worth the extra cost?
I had a cast pump die on me today after having a mix of Roundup, permit and LAS sit for about 2 weeks. It worked for about 10 min. then froze up and broke the plastic thing that holds the rollers. I still had spray left, this didn`t happen because I ran it dry.
This pump was new this spring and has only pumped 3 or 4000 gal of spray. About 3/4 was roundup. Hypro Series 7560.
