No it doesn't have either the auto skip or 2 tb hdd. However the hopper is only able to use 500 gb of the hdd for user defined recording. The rest is used for on demand and the always recorded network channels. The auto skip is getting dish sued by just about all the broadcasters and cable networks out there and it probably won't last long. Besides almost all the dvrs out there have 30 second skip. Just punch it 4 times and your back to your show. The hopper costs an extra 17 dollars a month and still only has 3 tuners which are shared with all the joeys you plug into it, and your limited to 3 joeys per hopper. Also none of the other receivers offered are compatible with the Joey so your limited to 3 live/recorded tv shows in the house at once.
