| Unfortunately, religion doesn't necessarily get us closer to the Bible*. My point is that we have some foundation to return to instead of anarchy.
*God isn't a child abuser, yet we don't get everything we want and trials happen, We should give to the poor, but it's a personal responsibility like the good samaritan, We should teach respect for authority to our children so they understand who God is and what leaders are, leaders should understand that they are under a higher authority and lead accordingly. It's not a bunch of rules for a moral society but more an attitude of humility - knowing your place in the grand scheme. The constitution is proof of God's plan being so good, it works whether you have faith or not. | |
