NW Washington | I now remember also battling with a Long Term Care insurance when my grandmother was in the nursing home. I finally had to go to the state insurance commission to get some money out of them, but we still had to sell her little farm and home to pay nursing home bills. Now the deal is "spend down and go on Medicaid" which is what happens to a lot of folks who do not have a lot of money or assets. Do some research before buying LTC as sometimes you are better off without it. | |
