Here is another possibility to find info from that time period

it is the census fromAlberta.
i did not try linking you any further than the whole area of Alberta and you can also go back to the 1901 census too. Link at top of page.

There may be a small census from 1906 I did not check but if you know her maiden name you can probably search for that.

It is surprising what you find written down and how it is different from family oral history.
I found a generation earlier than family history said was living in Ontario in 1851.
Parents and sister as well as our ancestor.
