Fruita CO | Was just looking at some old family photos & came across a pic of the Pine Canyon school, near Blackie, AB. Built in 1905-my maternal Grandmother went to school there, in probably 1905 or '06. Any NAT'ers from anywhere around there?
She was born in Clarinda Iowa in 1900, but her Dad was a wanderer-moved to Canada for a few years, then Northern California, finally to Colorado...
Google Earth shows Blackie is still there, but looks like a pretty small town...South of Calgary...
Just curious if anybody on here is from around there, or knows where it is... | |
