NE SoDak | long story: Bought a boat from a lady in Stillwater back in mid July. Gave them a check and they said they'd send the title. Said there was no lien and all was clear. thought ok, no problem. wait a couple weeks and I don't get anything. Call them up, for some reason she had to get a new title for the trailer. Something about we both signed it in the wrong place, not sure, but ok. Wait a few more weeks I get a copy of the trailer title she took in and a MN Watercraft Registration and Title application. No boat title, and no actual trailer title. The boat had been licensed in MN to her, but how could this be done if it wasn't titled? I did call the DMV in Stillwater and they are slightly confused, lady there said the boat was registered but not titled. anyway, I'm looking for a little insight as to what to do next. I haven't talked to previous owner in ten days or so now. Doesn't seem to answer phone all of a sudden, was good about it before but now, I don't know. Boat is a good running Tracker. Does the previous owner need to send that Title Application in in MN to get a title? Thanks | |
