| The hardest part is the 24/7/365 aspect of it. No matter how much you think you can do it, and won't mind doing it, it is tough. Be sure that you are prepared for it. Dieseldoc is right. You will spend your life either feeling guilty about not being at family events, or being cheated out of vacations/time-off.
I know you came looking for financial advice, but the financial part isn't even the hardest part of it. Take it from someone who was in your shoes 30 years ago. Your spouse, if you have one or have intentions on getting one, has to be on the same page 100%. You will be married to your farm. | |
