NC Kansas
year in year out milo will tolerate the drought much better than corn. Sometimes corn will do better but all depends on when the drought affected the crop. here in NC Kansas this year most of the corn was toast by mid July while some milo was just 6 inches tall. We caught a few spotty rains and we raised 50-60bu milo next to 0bu corn and 80+ bushel milo next to 55-60bu corn. Like most have said use a good grass control herbicide program and you will get along pretty good.
