There isn't anything better than a warm floor ! You won't regret putting in this system.
If you live on a farm, and have access to lots of firewood you could put in an outside wood burning boiler system. Heat the floor and run heat to the forced air system (use that propane as a backup), you could heat your house for almost nothing.
