SW KS, near Dodge City | Jim, you need to include all of the old eastern bloc countries in your thinking, not just the Ukraine. Several years ago I went across Lithuania and was impressed by the potential of the ground. Lots of level flat ground, actually laid out really similar to here, but w/ eastern KS climate/rainfall. It also looked like good black soil from the highway. Infrastructure (roads at least) seemed good, and their old collective farms looked a lot like coops out here. Seems like a lot of untapped potential exists in this world, and at $6 & $7 corn, we're going to find it. | |
