Manitoba Canada | Land auctioneers here charge 6% , 4%, then 2% on the balance as negotiated. Auctions usualy take less than a half hour, and my neighbour said he had to pay for the hall rent, $150 also.Kind of like winning the Lotto for our real estate guys. Only been done here for about 3 years and prices have tripled during this time. The bad thing about is that the investment fund groups are taking most of the land for 1 bid more than the neighbour or young farmer can muster. In the long run it is the ruin of our rural familys and communities.
