| That's an important point. International flights typically have higher limits (check their website), but if your itinerary includes a domestic flight, you might be screwed out of taking advantage of that. Cost me $100 to get out of Chicago one time, even though I was in business class and my destination was Hong Kong. Gotta get out of bankruptcy some way... Also, some frequent flyer programs/levels will let you haul more.
Don't know how big your 'huge' suitcase is, VF, but my big one (29" x 20" x 11") will be full of clothes (not stuffed) at 50 pounds. Shoes, books, and other 'stuff' are what kills you on weight. Pack those in a smaller bag, carry them on or, better yet, leave them at home. A luggage scale has turned out to be a wise investment and well worth packing. | |
