Subject: Re: What is wrong with wheat?

Huntley Montana

ND ADV spring wheat yeild around 30-40 bu. A @ $8 = $240 acre IF NO SCAB. Corn has been doing well, lot of 100-150 bu yeilds. About the same Fert$$, 100 bu @ $3=$300acre, 150 bu @ $3=450, Or take corn at $4-4.50 & why would they want to plant wheat? Northern ND navy/pinto beans @ $30 CWT not much Fert needed, 15-20 sacks. Then you have Malt barley @ 80-100 bu A with not a lot of fert & with a act of God clause offering $5-6& a bu contracts.

These are GROSS $$$ amounts PER acre. Net # is a differant $$$.

Dammed if I can figgure out why everyone is not jumping on the wheat bandwagon.
