I never got turned down for money, ever. If I did, I would be inclined to think I didn't deserve the loan, (wouldn't be able to pay it back, with interest) and maybe should be glad I didn't get it. If you have a good relationship with a lender, an annual review (at least), I would think they would do the "right" thing.
