central Ia. | Don't get on this forum very often, and don't know if it's ok but I would like to join in. I'm 42 have been overweight since I was 14 at my heaviest I was 387. Four years ago I had an angiogram done and they found a small blockage that they were not able to clear. Cardiologist is not concerned with it says millions of people are walking around with far worse than what he found and don't even know it. I'm also type 2 diabetic, since four years ago I have dropped some weight got down to 348 but have bounced back up to 360-365 range. I am able to keep the diabetes under control with diet ( hardly any carbs) I go to the gym at least three days a week, had a follow up stress test last fall and the Dr. says it looks better than my first 4 years ago. I really want to lose more weight but struggle a lot. Sorry I got so long winded but figure if I'm going to ask to be part of a support group I need to be open and honest. | |
