| Looking at making a career change that would make me an independent contractor - I'd need to buy health insurance for myself and family (total of 4 of us). All of us are in decent shape (I'm fat according to the charts but not huge) wife is in good shape and kids all fine -- where is a good place to start looking for coverage -- in the past even when we had our kids the premiums plus out of pocket have been more than if we paid 100% out of pocket -- so I'm thinking of getting a high deductable plan (like 5-10K) and have a HSA or something like that. My goal would be to transition this coverage so when Im able to full time farm I'd have no changes to make. Any tips or ideas would be great -- Just starting to look at this in the last day or two -- the career change would be a big one - but better for family and my part time farming. | |
