| I have a 7230 that has 125 hrs on it & has not run a full day w/o having DEF injection Faults coming on and having to have local Case IH mechanic come out & restart system with a laptop. Combine gives a warning of DEF Injection problems. Sometimes I can shutdown & restart, sometimes it goes to a red warning, which then it gives you a little time to cleanout then it idles the motor down that all you can do is get it unloaded. My mechanics have been great, very quick to come & restart system but the problem is with CIH, On the company ASSIST website they have no solutions and until this past week we didn't have definitions of the 4 Fault codes that the machine was giving? We have moved the vent hose for the DEF tank to a cleaner location & put a screen on the end of it(was located down at same location as engine oil drain, open ended???) Just changed sensor located inside tank, still shut down. Have heard of some other combines having same issues during bean harvest but quit when they got to corn. Combine is AWESOME when it is running, unbelievable power w/ 12 row head in high yield corn. Had 2 7120's and a 7010 before that, best one for power & capacity but DEF system I'm not impressed at all. Wish I could by a chip to eliminate DEF system on the software!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |
