If the company you sell for would have to pay huge amounts of tax, that would mean they are making huge amounts of profits. That would mean you should be able to buy your seed a lot cheaper.They would make less money and they could forget about the tax problem.
Also, if they need a tax writeoff, your cost of production reasoning doesn't hold water.
