You're right, I haven't for a long time.  I have been fired before (tardiness) but had a job running a dozer before noon with one phone call.  I didn't end up taking it as I could make more in a truck.  I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune.  I'm sure it can be tough. 

All males in our immediate family have CDL's.  I've spent a lot of time in a truck, but the sons haven't spent much.  I sell/service equipment in an area 2-5 hrs away (nothing closer than 2 or much farther than 5) and have for 10 years. One son sells insurance and drives 50 miles one way each day, the other mechanics in KC.  If any of our jobs went south, we wouldn't be without a job for long before getting in a truck.  My wife owns her own beauty shop in our home and our daughter in law has her own photography business.  We've tried to cover our bases.
