Manitoba
There is all kinds of work available north of the border as well. Absolutely NO reason to not be employed. But at the same time It's extreemly rare I can fill any positions with Canadians or even get a real applicant and it's not a wage thing. In fact, the higher wage I offer the worse applicants I get. This trends not getting better, if I can keep my farm going it's going to be real interesting to see what things look like in 20 years. I have no interest in going the robot route but I can totally understand why guys are doing so.

Dad's at or probably a little past retirement age now and I'm completely reliant on hired labor. (no other family involved) Over the last year or so I've really been trying to figure out how I'm going to keep the place going, Hope I figure it out soon or the dairies going to be done.
